PARADISE LOST

Historically, canopies served as covers of the emperors’ chariots

— a symbol of royalty and power.

I utilized mark making to depict the dragon, phoenix, and a merry-go-round to reveal the life and emotions of a royal life. The Dragon and Phoenix symbolize the loneliness of a monarch who had no one to trust and rely on under the bondage of power, for they are constant victims of jealousy and hatred.

They try to escape from this superficial prosperity and achieve real freedom. However,  behind all their riches and luxuries, lies eternal loneliness and worry. This is clearly a lost of paradise
